Exploring Lady Antebellum

This is fun! I like Jim Brickman and apparently he's featured in their video on Youtube for the song, "Never Alone" To me, this song is a wish I have for all my friends and for myself too. It's some words to live by.

May the angels protect you
Trouble neglect you
And heaven accept you when its time to go home
May you always have plenty
The glass never empty
Know in your belly
You're never alone

May your tears come from laughing
You find friends worth having
With every year passing
They mean more than gold
May you win but stay humble
Smile more than grumble
And know when you stumble
You're never alone

Chorus: Never alone
Never alone
I'll be in every beat of your heart
When you face the unknown
Wherever you fly
This isn't goodbye
My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone

well
I have to be honest
As much as I wanted
I'm not gonna promise that the cold winds won't blow
So when hard times have found you
And your fears surround you
Wrap my love around you
You're never alone

Chorus

May the angels protect you
Trouble neglect you
And heaven accept you when its time to go home
And when hard times have found you
And your fears surround you
Wrap my love around you
You're never alone

Chorus

My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone

UPDATE: I hope someday that this is one of the lullabies that I sing to my children.

As far as set up goes... I like their judgement

I've been set up on blind dates before and they usually end up into interesting stories. Like the time we thought the guy would be cool because his dad was... and the time where my friends went on the blind date with me and then made fun of me afterwards because I was so stand-offish with the guy or we kept our distance and were awkward with each other.

Anyway, Saturday night, my friend and I went to Seattle to visit her husband at a conference. He has a friend that lives there and so he texted him/called him up and told him that he wanted to set him (M) up with a friend of his wife's. So we ended up all going to dinner at a seafood restaurant, then the guy (M) played tour guide and took us around the city. After years of visiting the city, this was the first time we went to the top of the space needle. We ended the night with dessert.

So my impressions? He was fun and nice. Is nice the kiss of death and a word I shouldn't use? I don't know, you only learn so much on a double date where it's a setup and the guy M is catching up with my friend's husband too... so it was comfortable, they didn't make fun of how I acted with him afterwards... I don't know what else to say.

We got the scoop from her husband and I guess he asked M directly what he thought - and he ended up texting M my cell phone #. We work in fields that compliment each other so I actually gave him my card yesterday - so he has my home # and work email. But that's because I genuinely wanted to give him info that will help him with his job. So it's kind of funny.

Will I see him again. I'd be open to going out again. Do I sound unenthusiastic? I'm not - really. I think it'd be fun. But I don't get super excited about a guy just because I met him. I don't know anything about him. J, my friend's husband, mentioned that he doesn't know the level of church activity for M. And as I've been through some interesting experiences, it's interesting how that has not become THE most important thing for me, and yet it is. Huh. Where to compromise and draw the line. Of course, I know nothing about whether M is active or not - so I'm not saying anything about him but it is interesting to think about. In light of recent experiences, am I open to dating someone not active?

My biggest thing has been that the guy needs to be true to who he is and what he believes. I like that because then it means the guy is either active in the church or he's not a member and believes what he believes.

In light of recent events, am I open to someone who isn't active? I don't know. If we were talking about Mr. R and I getting back together, I'm open to dating him - but he's active in the church - just has taken a detour and is back on track.

This is my problem, why do options have to happen all at once? If I had met M in April, then there wouldn't be a question about going out with him and pursuing something.

Because it's November and I had a summer romance, I gave my heart away back in July. I don't know if it's been given back to me. I don't know if Mr. R wants it, will use it, crush it, give it back. I don't know. AND I don't want to hurt M in my unknowing.

Love this group

I have been up late a lot this month... and I'm really liking a couple Country groups lately. I really like their harmonies in their songs. Anyway, as I'm up very late - usually around 1 and looking at the clock, I think of this song.

You should look up Lady Antebellum and Gloriana. This song above is Lady Antebellum. The reason this song plays through my head should be obvious but I'll spell it out... one of the lines is "It's a quarter after one..." and it usually is when I start singing this song.

Can you name the song?

I w y 2 w m. I n y 2 n m. I l y 2 l m. I b y t b m.

Just fun

Overall, October has been a great month! I've had an amazing time just catching up with friends that I haven't seen or talked with in a while. What a great time to just feel like I'm loved. I feel so blessed to have amazing friends and just have had the opportunities to have these girls (yes, mostly girls) in my life. It makes me want to be a better friend.
